1
Flower on the side of the path at Yellowstone National Park. This is at the Gibbon Geyser Basin northeast of the Madison camp ground where we spent our first two nights.
2
Everywhere spread around inside the park are old tree roots. Some of them are burnt but some are probably just old.
3
Yellow wild flowers at the side of the path at the Gibbon Geyser Basin.
4
An old tree that probably serves as food to insects now.
5
Geological activity at the Gibbon Geyser Basin.
6
The water boils at the Gibbon Geyser Basin.
7
It rained every day we were at the park, but between the rain showers we still had enough time to see everything. Some of the rain water can be seen on these little blooms.
8
Hot water boils in the Gibbon Geyser Basin.
9
The water looks so good that one would really like to take a bath in it.
10
Bacteria give the water a red color.

12
Moss grows on the rocks.
13
View from a path behind the geysers at the Gibbon Geyser Basin.
14
Some of the geysers have boiling water. Others, like this one, have boiling mud. These are the dry remains of the constantly changing environment.
