1
Driving west on 7800 South. In the mountains on the horizon is the copper mine.
2
View from the top floor of Saltair onto the Great Salt Lake.
3
The Salt Lake has a pretty low water level.
4
Swimming in the Salt Lake in the past. Thanks to the high salt level the slogan was "Try to sink".
5
Swallows nests at the Saltair.
6
As if the building was just there for the swallows.
7
The water level is quite low and this offers a huge beach. The lake unfortunately stinks quite a bit and even the large beach cannot compensate for that.
8
The lake is not very deep in general but it's still enough for a sail boat.
9
Where does the lake end and the sky begin?
10
Saltair as seen from the beach. There have been several, prettier editions of this resort, but they have all burned down.
11
A lone sail boat.
12
Where is the boundary between the water and the mountains again?
13
There are quite a few nicer places to sail in Utah than this lake.
14
The Kennecott copper smelter.
15
The allure of sailing.
16
Looking towards the north into the vastness of the lake.
