At the entrance of U 995 is an overview map that describes the individual sections of the submarine.

Aft torpedo tube and (right) an ejector piston, which pushed the torpedo out the tube using pressurized air. A reserve torpedo was stored below the floor boards.

The two battery-fed electric engines with 375 hp each brought the submerged boat to a maximum of 7.6 kn. At only 2 kn the boat could go for a maximum of 130 nm, at 4 kn only 80 nm.
