Germany 2010

Germany vacation April 1st through 23rd 2010. The trip was extended by the icelandic volcano by a few days. We went to Oldenburg, Bad Zwischenahn, Hamburg, Laboe, Kiel, Lübeck, Munich, Walsrode, Bremerhaven and Groningen in the Netherlands.

Highly qualified specialists lived in close quarters together - the four lanyard sergeants: Obersteuermann, head Diesel and E-Machinist, "Nautical No. 1" (Petty Officer).

Can 27 or more men have lived, ate and slept here? Yes! The torpedoes were pulled out daily to be serviced. On and below the floor boards were six reserve torpedoes, on which the submarine men lived.
